Feel like stepping out…..Enjoy this beautiful cabin that overlooks a community pond with a scenic mountain view. Join the adventure – bring your fishing reel, canoe or kayak!
Start and end your day on the screened porch, listening to the geese and watching the clouds’ reflection on the lake as they move across the mountain tops. A wraparound porch and separate, lower level deck mean there is plenty of room for everyone to relax.
Built by using Universal Design, this home includes a first level master suite with King Size bed, a jetted tub in the accessible bath, and no thresholds from the driveway to the front door. Everyone will feel at home in the relaxed, modern country style décor. A wood pellet stove in the great room makes a toasty home with no logs to haul or mess to clean up. The kitchen is fully stocked with basic supplies and utensils. Linens, towels, and “starter supplies” are also provided.
The second floor bedroom suite also has a King Size bed, reading chair, and full bath. A spacious loft overlooking the great room is home to a comfortable reading (or napping….) nook with a leather chair, ottoman, and window overlooking the lake and Cacapon Mountain.
If you have to work or just can’t break that internet habit, DSL is available, as is Direct TV, and a DVD and VCR player (complete with video/DVD library).
Winter Getaways: Please note this property is located in hilly, mountainous terrain, during winter months all wheel or 4 wheel drive is strongly recommended. During snowy conditions, secondary roads normally melt and are clear through the day and then re-freeze as the temperature drops in the afternoon hours, please keep this in mind when traveling.
Snow policy: During a snow fall event, driveways and secondary roads are not kept open and are not plowed until the snow has stopped. Also due to the rural conditions of the area, it may take time to get all of the driveways plowed. The contractors who plow driveways also are dependent on the secondary roads being cleared before driveways can be plowed. Please keep this in mind when planning your winter getaway and pack extra food items.

Thanks so much for a great getaway. We come here to celebrate my mom’s 67th birthday. She loved it! We will definitely be back. We also enjoyed strolling around downtown and going to the spring baths. Looking forward to telling lots of people about your place.
This cabin was beautiful, the scenery of the night chill made it better to wake up in the warmth of nature. The beauty and comfort up here is wonderful. Loved all the awesome pellet stoves warmth in the midst of a cold October sky. Loved being here. This place was awesome and close to all the shops and attractions. Thanks Sanctuary on the Lake!

What a wonderful way to spend the last three days in my 30s!! my mother-in-law and three sisters-in-law planned a lovely getaway- leaving the men, kids, and hustle and bustle behind. We started our weekend with an impromptu winery stop, happy hour at “Mountaineers” and finished with a nice dinner at Tari’s/ Saturday was spent at the spa and browsing the town. The Sanctuary on the Lake was a great place to relax, drink, play games, and laugh. Looking forward to brunch at Panorama before heading home. Everything was perfect including the crisp pre-fall weather.

My husband Joe and I came to spend our 30th wedding anniversary. We enjoyed the cabin, but especially our time alone and away from it all. We’ve been coming to Berkeley Springs for years now and have always had nice cabins to stay in.

A beautiful mini-vacation and a wonderful way to celebrate our friend’s wedding. We had an amazing time enjoying the cabin and the town of Berkeley Springs. We especially loved the state parks with hiking, beaches/lakes, and the Roman Baths. Tari’s café in town was also lovely. Thank you once again for helping us make memories that will last a lifetime.
