Be sure to check out horseback riding, golfing, hiking and the lake at the nearby Cacapon State Park!
Winter Getaways: Please note this property is located in hilly, mountainous terrain, during winter months all wheel or 4 wheel drive is strongly recommended. During snowy conditions, secondary roads normally melt and are clear through the day and then re-freeze as the temperature drops in the afternoon hours, please keep this in mind when traveling.
Snow policy: During a snow fall event, driveways and secondary roads are not kept open and are not plowed until the snow has stopped. Also due to the rural conditions of the area, it may take time to get all of the driveways plowed. The contractors who plow driveways also are dependent on the secondary roads being cleared before driveways can be plowed. Please keep this in mind when planning your winter getaway and pack extra food items.

Fabulous getaway with our kids. Wonderful cabin accommodations. Grandpa and Gram stayed in our motor home nearby and spent quality time with all. Beautiful fall weather made for a great weekend. Thanks! We’d love to come back.

This is our second stay at Cowboy Cabin- we brought our two friends Matt and Renee. We enjoyed or game of croquet- it became more of a human vs. grass game. (The trip to the Troubadour was epic!) Thanks for being pet friendly- our little Broody loved running up and down the stairs exploring the nooks of the loft. We need to come back in the summer when we can enjoy the lake. Thanks!

This was our third visit to the cabin and as always a great place to stay. The weather was delightful- cool, crisp, and clear. A few Monarchs drifted by flying south on their long journey to Mexico. Ravens played and gave their raucous calls from the nearby cliff area. A few wildflowers were still in bloom, some of the sunflowers and some goldenrods. Wild grapes adorned their vines and tree leaves floated down in delicate displays. Fall is such a romantic and beautiful time. Many thanks again for letting us stay.

We had a wonderful fifth visit to the cabin!!! Our activities included, but were not limited to, grilling out, making s’mores on the fire, champagne breakfasts on the front porch, and a lovely dinner at Panorama at the Peak. Downtown was lovely after the flood waters drained and Mom and Dad had very relaxing massages at Atasia Spa. We also made apple sauce from Apples on the tree. We can’t wait until our next visit.

This was our first visit to the Cowboy Cabin and we classify it as successful. It offered our three kids a glimpse of a more primitive lifestyle, but with just enough amenities to make your cabin a home away from home. Our week in WV will be a memorable one. We relaxed, read, played family games, hiked, kayaked, canoed, went sightseeing, and swam just about every day.
Thank you for the adventure!

We spent a long weekend in Cowboy Cabin and have had a great time! We were here having a big family reunion spanning four generations. Several other family groups were staying in several of the other cabins in the area. We’ve enjoyed Cacapon State Park, swimming at the lake and hiking. We definitely would recommend this cabin and will hopefully come back again soon!

We loved staying here at the Cowboy Cabin! We didn’t do a whole lot while we were here, but we just enjoyed a weekend alone for our anniversary. Berkeley Springs Park was definitely interesting and we even got to take in a car show there. Your cabin was great and enjoyable. It is private, yet close to attractions.
Thanks for letting us stay at the Cowboy Cabin!!
