After journeying from the U.K. and enjoying a hectic four days in New York and then traveling to Philadelphia and a further two days in Washington, our stay at this wonderful Aunt Bea’s Bungalow has been our chance to find out how a small American town functions. We have been able to enjoy the Bungalow and all it has to offer us. Peace and regenerations in the hot tub in the garden, great food in the bathing houses, wonderful ice cream, friends and sociable people willing to pass time and share our travels. These were wonderful memories that we will hold for the rest of our lives. Our family group has enjoyed out stay here and leave with sadness, this beautiful bungalow ans great little ton on our journey back to the U.K.

We really enjoyed Aunt Bea’s Bungalow and having the Gingerbread Cottage next door made this a ‘unique family compound’ for my daughter’s wedding. It was just delightful. The hot tub was great and the house was charming. Also, the staff was so nice about giving us early and late check-outs. They’re great folks to work with!

We are getting ready to leave (end and beginning). This was our second Apple Butter Festival here at Aunt Bea’s. All was as was before, but perhaps sweetened by the feelings that past, fond association brings. We know this house and perhaps, in some way, it knows us too. Maggie our Boston Terrier was joined by her pug cousin Chloe this year and both did very well- more so after Chloe got over her first night anxiety. The back yard was as always, peaceful and restorative, and was much appreciated. And, as last year, the proximity of Aunt Bea’s to the festival made for easy access to it by foot.

July 20th, 2012 – July 23rd, 2012

Our stay at Aunt Bea’s was great. My husband, myself, and our dog Bandit spent a long weekend here to celebrate my 50th birthday. We shopped, walked, and really enjoyed the hot tub! Had a great birthday dinner at the Ambrae House. The food was absolutely excellent! The music was great too! What a great way to slide “over the hill” into Fiftyville!

We had a lovely weekend here in Berkeley Springs! This was our first trip to the area and we really enjoyed being able to walk into town. The fenced in backyard was wonderful for the dogs and kids. We will definitely visit again!

Our pet policy is listed below, there are individual cabin instructions in each cottage that will also assist you, please contact us if you have any questions:

1. All pets that are left unattended in the cottage must be tethered outside or kenneled (some cottages allow pets to be left unattended in the basement or garage areas, please see individual cottage Visitor’s Guide located at cottage).
2. Pet owners must scoop yard and place pet residue in trash bag in trash bin before departing cottage.
3. Please bring your pets' bedding, blankets, kennel and scooper (most cottages have a shovel in garage or utility room). The bedding and blankets that are located in the cottage are for our guests use only.
4. Please immediately report any pet damages or problems.
5. Please be respectful of our owners' property, we make an extended effort to offer pet friendly cottages and we appreciate our guests who also make an extended effort to ensure the cottage is left undamaged by pets.
6. Guests will be charged for any damages or extra cleaning due to pet owner negligence.

There are individual instructions and a Visitor's Guide in each cabin to assist you during your stay. We do ask our guests to do the following items before departing the cottage:

1. Strip all beds that were used during your stay and please leave linens next to bed that was used.
2. If laundry facility is available in cabin, please start a load of towels before departing.
3. Wash and put away all dishes before departing. If cottage has dishwasher, please ensure dishwasher is turned on before departing.
4. Ensure coffee pot is TURNED OFF before departing.
5. Place the lock box (with key) back on the outside door for our cleaning personnel.
6. Ensure all doors are locked and all windows are secured before departing.
7. Please report any damages, broken items or problems immediately.
8. We are delighted to have you as guests, but please be respectful of our owners’ property.
