This is an annual festival event where you can really get a good feel of all the wonderful and uniquely different things the quaint small town of Berkeley Springs has to offer. Some of the events include a parade that honors our outstanding members of the local community, there’s an Apple Butter exhibit where Apple Butter is made and a gallery show to display the process, different exhibits about making Apple Butter and old bands are displayed in the Ice House Art Gallery, there’s a Turtle Race, Egg Toss, Baking, Beard and Mustache and Hog Calling contests. For entertainment there’s also a Jazz, Bluegrass and Old Timey Concerts and Quilt Display and Drawing.

Cigars, vintage wines and the debut of a local collection of short stories highlight the 13th annual Uniquely West Virginia Wine and Food Festival on Saturday and Sunday, April 22 and 23 at the American Legion in downtown Berkeley Springs. The chance to sip and sample popular state-grown products from more than two dozen vendors is open from 10am to 5pm on Saturday and 12:30 to 4pm on Sunday.
The popular two-day wine and food festival is a nationally ranked event and serves as centerpiece for an action-packed weekend of activities including a three-stop Artwalk beginning at 5pm on Friday and concluding with the opening of the Delectable Mountain Quilt Show at the Ice House Gallery at 7:30pm. Redbud Weekend activities on Saturday and Sunday range from free redbud seedlings at Nature Niche to eco-worshops and tours. Mother Nature cooperates, blanketing county roadsides in the spicy hot pink blossoms.

Sample waters from around the world at the famous Berkeley Springs International Water Tasting.
The award-winning Berkeley Springs International Water Tasting welcomes more than one hundred waters from across the country and around the globe on Saturday, February 25. Held in the historic spa town of Berkeley Springs, West Virginia, it is the largest water tasting competition in the world.
Municipal waters compete for the coveted honor of best tasting tap water at 2:30pm. Bottled waters, both still and sparkling will be judged at 6:30pm, along with waters in a new category, purified drinking water. All day Saturday, the public will have an opportunity to vote for the People's Choice award for best packaging.

From Friday through Sunday shops and businesses around town join in George Washington's Bath Tub Celebration with dollar sales and specials as well as unique history related events. Find the first president's face in selected shop windows and inside you will find $1 items, $1 off items or a special gift of a brand new $1 bill when you spend $25 or more. A free guide to the specials offered is available at the Visitors Center and other locations.
